About Karen
Karen specializes in sales and purchases of all types of hospitality properties throughout Colorado and our neighboring Country of Mexico. She offers well over 25 years of "hands on" innkeeping experience, having owned and operated hospitality properties in four different states. She is an expert in the unique issues of selling hospitality properties. She has 15+ years of active inn consulting experience throughout the United States and Canada.
In 1997, Karen created www.commerceteam.com, an advertising site dedicated to sales and purchase of hospitality properties throughout the country, which is still maintained by Commerce Team, Inc. At the current time, Karen owns a cabin resort property that is currently for sale in Colorado. Karen has owned/operated four lodging properties in a personal capacity since 1984. Her college degree is a B.A. in Philosophy which helps bring reasoning, negotiation skills, and creativity to the sale/purchase process. Her personal interests include whitewater paddling, hiking, snowshoeing, downhill skiing, photography, catch and release salt water fishing, and snorkeling in Florida, Mexico and Caribbean Islands.
